MBA honour for international student
A teacher from the Cayman Islands has been named the best MBA (Masters of Business Administration) student of the year at the University of Southampton School of Management Cetonya Cacho was consistently awarded the highest marks for her assignments during the year 2007-08. She chose to study at Southampton because of the options to learn more about human resources and higher education management. John Taylor, Professor of Higher Education Management and Policy and Director of CHEMPaS, said: ‘Cetonya is an outstanding student and worked very hard throughout the programme. The Centre for Higher Education Management and Policy at Southampton (CHEMPaS) was established in 2004 as an interdisciplinary focus for research, postgraduate programmes, continuing professional development and consultancy on key issues relating to higher education. The Centre aims to integrate high level academic research with professional practice in all aspects of higher education management and policy.
The Centre is based in the School of Management, but also involves researchers from many other parts of the University. It provides a lively and stimulating environment for the generation of new ideas and the sharing of experience on a wide range of topics in the field of higher education.
